The Software Division at ELTA Systems is seeking a DBA Specialist.

The role includes designing and implementing advanced database architectures (SQL & NoSQL) in complex, hybrid environments. You will be responsible for installation, configuration, and upgrades, managing the full lifecycle of PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and MS SQL instances, including clustered environments.

The position involves proactive performance monitoring, query and index optimization (query tuning), and system resource management to ensure fast response times. You will design, implement, and maintain high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions, including replication, failover, and backup & recovery strategies across multiple technologies.

Additional responsibilities include ongoing database maintenance such as partitioning, cleanup, and reorganization, as well as developing automation scripts (Bash, Python) for recurring DBA tasks like monitoring, backups, and maintenance. The role also requires maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and database architecture.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience as a DBA in large-scale, complex environments – mandatory
• Strong expertise in SQL technologies, with proficiency in one or more of the following: PostgreSQL (significant advantage), MS SQL, or Oracle – mandatory
• Good familiarity with NoSQL technologies – mandatory
• Deep understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as virtualized environments – mandatory
