About The Opportunity
We are seeking an
Experienced DevOps Engineer to join our
AI Platform team.
In this role, you will
manage and optimize cloud-based solutions, scale ML workloads, and
work closely with data scientists and platform engineers.
You’ll be responsible for
building CI/CD pipelines,
managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform, and ensuring
efficient deployment and optimization of Docker containers.
You will support
machine learning experimentation, training, and deployment environments while implementing monitoring solutions for AI tools usage, system performance, and business metrics. The role interacts with Kubernetes environments when needed but does not manage the clusters themselves.
You will be a
key contributor to the infrastructure that powers research, model training, and deployment, working alongside the team to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities & Required Skills
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and ML workloads (AWS, GCP, AWS Batch, SLURM, EKS, GPU compute).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform and ML services (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Manage infrastructure as code and automate environment provisioning (Terraform, Chef).
- Build, maintain, and optimize containerized workloads, improving image size, dependency management, and build pipelines (Docker, container registries).
- Work with Kubernetes environments when integrating workloads and deployments (Kubernetes, EKS, Helm).
- Strong experience with DevOps principles including automation, observability, and infrastructure management.
- Support and maintain research environments used by data scientists (JupyterHub).
- Monitor and optimize ML systems and data pipelines to ensure efficient resource utilization and performance
- Proactively identify optimization opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and streamline deployment processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineers, data engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams.
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure and large-scale training environments.
- Experience optimizing GPU workloads and distributed compute environments.
- Experience with serverless or event-driven architectures (AWS Lambda).
- Familiarity with additional CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Ability to contribute to engineering tasks and development of ML systems.
