Head of Development – Full Stack & AI

We are hiring for a leading pharmaceutical company seeking a Head of Development – a technology leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who can take full ownership of the development domain, lead a talented team of engineers, and drive technological innovation within a modern cloud environment.

This is not only a managerial role – it is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can still code, define architecture, and inspire people.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle – from architectural design to production delivery

• Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance, coaching, and clear technical direction

• Drive technical planning and decision-making, collaborating closely with senior leadership

• Establish and maintain high standards for code quality, development processes, and code reviews

• Own and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment environments

• Identify opportunities for technological innovation, automation, and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and generate new business value

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership across the organization

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing software development teams

• Proven experience in Full Stack development (Frontend & Backend)

• Strong experience working in cloud environments – services, deployment, security, and operations

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively

• Entrepreneurial mindset – proactive, accountable, and comfortable making decisions

• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, architecture design, and building strong engineering culture

• Experience working with Agile / Scrum methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microservices and distributed architectures

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in Azure

• Experience working in fast-paced, multi-task environments
