The Role

As an Applied Research Lead, you will bridge the gap between advanced research and production-grade products. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will lead the research and development of the core analytical engines, mechanisms, and ML models that power Youtiligent

We are looking for a hands-on leader who can take ownership of the entire research lifecycle—from exploring raw data and hypothesis testing to deploying scalable, data-driven business applications

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Research Vision: Own the analytical roadmap, definin
•  how ML and data science solve real-world retail challenges.
• Hands-on Development: Design and implement the main building blocks of our analytical platform using Python and cloud-native tools.
• Bridge Research & Engineering: Translate complex ML models into scalable, production-ready business logic.
• Impact Sustainability: Develop models that optimize energy consumption and operational efficiency for global food retailers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in Backend & ML development, with a focus on applied research.
• Time Series Expert: Extensive, proven experience in Time Series analysis and modeling – a Must.
• Python Expert: Exceptional programming skills and experience in designing complex software architectures.
• Data & ML Mastery: Deep understanding of ML frameworks, big data processing, and production-grade ML pipelines.
• Analytical Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to mentor and lead technical processes.
• Academic Background: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (M.Sc./Ph.D. is a plus).
• Communication: Fluency in English and a collaborative team-player mindset.
• Experience with industrial AIoT or power monitoring analytics - Advantage
• ֿExperience Proven experience with GCP or AWS ML infrastructure -Advantage
