What You'll Do
- Lead a Back-End Engineering Team through the execution of the product roadmap and program delivery.
- Build best-in-class developer experiences that accelerate product adoption and satisfaction.
- Conduct architectural, design, and hands-on code reviews that raise the bar for platform quality.
- Demonstrate operational excellence by running high-scale, mission-critical platform services.
- Amplify your team's potential through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Remain hands-on – approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to active development.
Requirements
What You'll Bring
- Strong coding skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, agile, and entrepreneurial environment.
- At least 3 years of people management experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building REST-based APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (experience with Python/Go can also be relevant).
- Proven experience with Microservices architecture.
- Solid knowledge of web application frameworks and hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering challenges and push the technical boundaries of online applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills – a natural collaborator and people person.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) and comfort integrating them into day-to-day engineering workflows.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
