The Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will own our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and environment automation, working closely with development teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our payment platform as we expand across Israeli and European markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) for our payment processing platform
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters across Production, Staging, and Development environments
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins)
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
• Manage MongoDB clusters including performance optimization, backups, and replication
• Ensure security compliance with PCI-DSS standards and financial regulations (EMI, PSD2)
• Maintain microservices architecture — Service Mesh, API Gateway, Load Balancing
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform / Pulumi (Infrastructure as Code)
• Support React, Node.js, and Android (POS systems) development teams with deployment workflows
• Manage multi-region environments to support operations in Israel and Europe
• Handle production incidents and build DR and High Availability processes
• Collaborate on capacity planning and cost optimization across cloud services

Requirements

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer / SRE / Platform Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud services — AWS (preferred) or GCP/Azure
• Production experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and Docker
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools — GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code — Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB — strong advantage) and SQL
• Deep understanding of networking — VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, CDN, VPN
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Datadog)
• Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills
• Self-driven, proactive, with excellent communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in fintech or payments industry (PCI-DSS, PSD2, EMI compliance)
• Experience with microservices architecture and Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
• Familiarity with Node.js, React, and TypeScript ecosystems
• Experience with POS systems and Android deployment pipelines
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Python scripting for automation and tooling
• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, etc.)
