Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT-related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD flows and tools.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience with configuration management tools.

As a Chip DevOps Engineer, you will lead industry innovation by integrating AI and cloud technologies into hardware design. Your core mission is to architect and manage the high-performance, cloud-native infrastructure essential for Google’s next-generation custom silicon. You will leverage the scalability of Google Cloud and advanced optimization techniques to accelerate design cycles. A key part of your role involves modernizing the global development environment, transitioning legacy workflows to a Git-based ecosystem. You will support global engineering teams by automating deployments, optimizing Electronic Design Automation (EDA) resources, and building agentic AI tools to streamline critical development tasks.
The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and architect infrastructure solutions with partner teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Manage and optimize our EDA and Cloud resources to ensure that our engineers have the tools and capacity they need to be productive.
- Automate the deployment and configuration of our infrastructure.
- Design, build, and maintain the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for our chip development projects.
