About The Job

Red Hat is looking for a curious and motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our Applied AI Enablement team in Ra’anana. In this role, you will get the unique opportunity to work alongside senior engineers on the front lines of Agentic AI. You will help build and integrate AI-driven features while learning how to deliver enterprise-grade software in an open-source environment.

As part of the Applied AI Enablement group, you won't just be "shadowing", you will be an active contributor helping to bridge the gap between AI research and real-world application. You will collaborate with product management, global engineering groups, and industry partners to push the boundaries of what AI can do for Red Hat’s ecosystem.

What You Will Do

  • Develop & Experiment: Assist the Applied AI Enablement team in the implementation of Agentic AI features, writing clean and maintainable code under the guidance of senior mentors.
  • Integrate: Work on enabling partner solutions and AI frameworks to run seamlessly within Red Hat environments.
  • Collaborate: Participate in technical reviews with a diverse, high-performing team of engineers.
  • Learn & Grow: Gain hands-on experience with open-source development workflows, LLM orchestration, and large-scale AI integration.
  • Document: Help create technical documentation and demos for new "Enablement" features to share with internal teams and lighthouse customers.

What You Will Bring

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Coding Fundamentals: Strong proficiency in Python or Go, with an understanding of asynchronous programming and how to write clean, testable code.
  • AI Interest & Exposure: Familiarity with Agentic Frameworks or LLM orchestration libraries (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, or PydanticAI) through university projects or self-study.
  • Basic understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and how embeddings work.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Linux and exposure to Containers (Docker/Podman). Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift is a significant plus.
  • Modern Development Practices: Experience using Git for version control and an understanding of CI/CD concepts.
  • Collaboration: A proactive communicator who enjoys solving complex problems within a team and is comfortable working in an English-speaking environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
  • Must be available for the internship from May 2026 till April 2027

Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate. To maximize your chances of moving forward in the process, please ensure your CV clearly outlines your education, relevant projects (link to your Github account), and extracurricular activities.

Please apply for a maximum of three internship roles that best match your interests and skills.
