The Red Hat Software Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated student who can join us in the Raanana office and who wants to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products. In this role, you will work in an environment where diverse perspectives are invited, the best ideas are valued, and people feel empowered to contribute. Freedom and courage are two of our core values, which is why you’ll need to be comfortable taking risks and exploring the unknown. But being a Red Hatter isn't just about being brave, it's also about demonstrating commitment and sticking to it.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in our human-in-the-loop process by manually validating agent outputs to ensure correctness and establish high-quality benchmarks.
  • Design and implement sophisticated evals and monitoring tools to catch anomalies, hallucinations, or performance degradation in agentic outputs.
  • Contribute to fixing and tuning agents based on eval results to ensure they consistently meet our engineering requirements.
  • Analyze how context and statistical variances in LLM outputs affect the overall stability of the testing framework.

What You Will Bring

  • Basic knowledge in spec-driven development and a desire to apply these principles to AI workflows.
  • Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the mechanics of autonomous agents.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to spot subtle logic errors or "hallucinations" in AI-generated content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
  • Must be available for the internship from May 2026 till April 2027

The Following Are Considered a Plus

  • Knowledge of containers and OpenShift or Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub.
  • Understanding of AI evaluation concepts (measuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency in non-deterministic systems).
  • Knowledge of AI frameworks and libraries (e.g. OpenDataHub, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kueue, KubeRay, KubeFlow, CodeFlare, Feast etc)

Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate. To maximize your chances of moving forward in the process, please ensure your CV clearly outlines your education, relevant projects (link to your Github account), and extracurricular activities.

Please apply for a maximum of three internship roles that best match your interests and skills.
