Job Description
Job Summary:
onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join ISG Technology group - analog design team.
As a Sr. analog design engineer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team, leading imaging projects and supporting onsemi ISG most advanced technologies.
you will participate in a broad range of design activities in a highly dynamic working environment, covering all product life cycle - from Idea to design, Silicon validation and product integration.
Performance Objectives
- Lead the design of advanced analog and mixed‑signal circuits for next‑generation sensing technologies, including:
- CMOS image sensors.
- Time‑of‑flight (ToF) systems.
- SWIR and other non‑visible‑spectrum imagers.
- Novel or exotic sensor architectures.
- Own critical analog blocks such as:
- Low‑noise front‑ends and charge‑domain circuits.
- High‑speed ADCs (SAR, pipeline, custom architectures).
- Precision bias/reference circuits.
- High‑bandwidth readout chains.
- Pixel‑level analog circuitry tailored to specialized sensing modalities.
Responsibilities
- Perform transistor‑level design, simulation, optimization, and corner/Monte‑Carlo analysis.
- Collaborate closely with pixel, digital, process, and system engineering teams to co‑optimize performance.
- Lead silicon bring‑up, debug, and characterization; analyze lab data and drive design improvements.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and long‑term technology roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers and strengthen design methodologies across the group.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. a plus).
- 5 years of experience in analog/mixed‑signal IC design.
- Proven track record of delivering successful silicon in production or advanced prototypes.
- Deep understanding of analog fundamentals: noise, matching, linearity, stability, device physics.
- Strong experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and advanced simulation methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to debug silicon and correlate measurements with simulations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with image sensors, ToF systems, SWIR imagers, or other advanced sensing technologies.
- Expertise in low‑noise design, high‑speed ADCs, or precision analog circuits.
- Familiarity with semiconductor process variation, reliability, and yield optimization.
- Hands‑on lab experience with characterization equipment.
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineers.
