Edgehawk.io provides cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions with a specialized focus on DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection. Our mission is to empower businesses to secure their digital infrastructure against increasingly complex cyber threats. Backed by a rapidly expanding global presence, Edgehawk is recognized for its innovation, agility, and technical excellence.

About the Job:

As a DevOps / Platform Engineer at EdgeHawk Security, you will be responsible for building and operating the cloud and container platforms that power our security systems. You will work primarily with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions, ensuring our infrastructure can reliably handle high-throughput, security-critical workloads. This role focuses on automation, scalability, and operational excellence in production environments exposed to real-world attack traffic.

What will you do?

  • Own AWS Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and operate production infrastructure on AWS, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM, with a strong focus on reliability and security.
  • Build Kubernetes Platforms: Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters running containerized backend services, including workload isolation, networking, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Containerize Everything: Create and maintain Dockerfiles for backend services, focusing on small images, secure build practices, and fast startup times.
  • Automate CI/CD with GitHub: Design and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, container image creation, and deployment to Kubernetes.
  • Enable Safe Deployments: Implement deployment strategies such as rolling updates, blue-green, or canary deployments to minimize risk in production.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Define and manage AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform preferred).
  • Operate & Debug Production Systems: Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug live systems running in AWS and Kubernetes, participating in incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Observability & Reliability: Build monitoring and alerting using Prometheus/Grafana and logging pipelines to ensure fast detection and resolution of issues.

What you need:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps / Platform / SRE engineer, operating production systems in cloud and containerized environments.
  • AWS- Strong experience designing and operating systems on AWS, including EC2/EKS, VPC, IAM, load balancing, and security best practices.
  • Containers & Kubernetes- Strong practical experience with Docker, writing and optimizing Dockerfiles, and running workloads on Kubernetes in production.
  • CI/CD & GitHub- Hands-on experience with GitHub, including designing and maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines for CI/CD.
  • Linux & Networking- Solid understanding of Linux systems, TCP/IP networking, and debugging container and cluster-level issues.

Ability to support the following:

  • Security Mindset- Experience working with secure environments, secrets management, IAM, TLS, and authentication systems.
  • Production Ownership- Comfortable owning systems end-to-end, being on-call, and improving reliability through automation and better tooling.

Why you should join us:

  • High-Impact Work: You aren't just building another CRUD app; you are building tools that protect critical infrastructure from sophisticated cyber threats.
  • Advanced Tech Stack: Work with many types of cutting-edge technologies at containerized environment to solve the industry's toughest data and security challenges.
  • Ownership & Autonomy: We value engineers who take initiative. You’ll have the freedom to influence the architecture and see your changes deployed directly to the front lines of security. You will have direct responsibility for how systems are built, deployed, and operated in production.
  • Growth Culture: Join a team where technical excellence is the standard and where "modular design" and "intellectual curiosity" are the primary drivers of our success. We value automation, clean infrastructure design, and engineers who understand systems deeply.
