Position Summary

We're looking for an experienced Head of Data to lead Grain's data strategy and scale our existing data team responsible for analytics, machine learning, and data infrastructure. You'll define how data is collected, structured, and leveraged to support critical business, product, and risk decisions—serving as the primary data partner to senior leadership while fostering a data-driven culture across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own Grain’s data, analytics, and machine learning strategy.
• Lead and mentor Business Analytics, BI/Data Engineering, and Machine Learning teams as a hands-on player–coach.
• Define and maintain company-wide KPIs, risk metrics, and data standards to ensure accurate and consistent decisions.
• Oversee analytical and ML frameworks for modeling, experimentation, validation, and monitoring.
• Ensure data and model quality, reliability, and explainability, especially for risk-critical use cases.
• Own and guide the data infrastructure and pipelines, partnering with engineering to ensure scalable, secure, and audit-ready data infrastructure.
• Partner closely with senior leadership, product, risk and Engineering teams.
