Exodigo is the leading underground mapping solution for non-intrusive discovery. Our platforms combine multi-sensor fusion, 3D imaging, and AI technologies to create complete, accurate underground maps that enable confident decision-making for customers across the built world. We transform the project lifecycle for our customers, who include key community stakeholders in the utilities, transportation and government sectors.
We are experiencing sky-rocketing growth and closed a historically large $96M Series B round in July of 2025.
Job description:
Our Algorithms group is a highly multidisciplinary group at the core of our data processing and detection capabilities, integrating physics, signal processing, classical algorithms, and AI models to meet our unique requirements. Within this group, the Computer Vision Team focuses on analyzing above-ground environments from visual and multi-sensor data, using strong engineering logic to optimize the efficiency and quality of our core mapping outputs.
Job Description
As a Computer Vision Engineer at Exodigo, you will join a fast-moving, highly technical team that continuously explores, evaluates, and deploys the latest research in computer vision, vision-language models (VLMs), and machine learning. You will play a key role in shaping how we extract meaning from complex visual and spatial data, turning cutting-edge ideas into production-ready systems at a rapid pace.
You will work hands-on with modern deep learning models that combine vision and language, design novel analysis pipelines, and integrate your solutions into real-world products. Collaboration is central to the role, you will work closely with Mapping & Engineering experts and the Software team to move quickly from research to validation to deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and iterate on advanced computer vision and vision-language models (VLMs) for understanding, reasoning over, and interpreting 2D imagery and 3D data.
- Apply language-based techniques (e.g., multimodal learning, prompt-based systems, semantic reasoning) to enhance visual analysis and automation workflows.
- Rapidly prototype, evaluate, benchmark, and refine models, keeping pace with the latest academic and industry research.
- Design and maintain a clean, scalable codebase that supports experimentation and fast iteration.
- Collaborate closely with the maps analysis team to validate performance, accuracy, and real-world robustness.
- Work with the software team to transition research ideas into reliable, production-grade systems.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience developing computer vision and machine learning algorithms.
- Strong understanding of modern deep learning architectures, including multimodal and vision-language models.
- Experience applying language-based techniques to visual or spatial problems (e.g., VLMs, multimodal reasoning, text-image alignment).
- Strong proficiency in Python and common scientific and CV libraries (NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch.
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with photogrammetry, 3D reconstruction, or point-cloud analysis.
- Experience in aerial/orthophoto/satellite image analysis, geolocation, depth detection, localization, sensor fusion, or similar tasks.
- Working with LiDAR data.
- Familiarity with cloud environment development (AWS).
