As VP R&D, you will own the engineering process, stracture and execution. You will mangae two engineering teams: AI team & Dev team. In the modern software world we believe leaders should own full cycle of native-AI developemnt

Responsibilities:

 - System architecture & engineering standards, especially in the coding-agent era. You'll own the balance between shipping pace and technical debt.

* Partner with company's Product team and work directly with the founders to translate product vision into a technical roadmap.

* Execute roadmap by owning complex features end-to-end: from tech spec to AI engineering, QA and shipping strategy.

* You will manage team leaders. Our R&D is still small enough to get into the details — expect 10–20% hands-on work today, reducing as the team scales.

* Scale R&D: DevOps, IT, QA, scrum. R&D is 6 engineers today, but is expected to grow in the next year. 

Tech stack

Python microservices, Pub/Sub, Postgres, BigQuery, GCP, and a Next.js frontend

Requirements

* Proven ability scaling teams and/or products - a Must!

* 5+ years backend development (full-stack with at least 50% backend also counts)

- 4+ years in tech lead / team lead roles. 

* Reach software engineering experience with full-stack web development of modern SAAS.

* - comfortable with python & typescript

* Experience building AI-native products - big advantages

* Experience building AI application infrastructure: RAG pipelines, prompts execution frameworks, LLM gateways, et - an advantage
