Role Description

This full-time Senior Backend Engineer position is a hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. You will design, develop, and maintain backend solutions for crypto key management systems, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing solutions, address technical challenges, and implement best practices. Your role will also involve integrating backend applications with front-end systems and contributing to the overall architectural design of products.

What Will You Actually Do

• Architect & Build: Design and implement robust, cloud-native services and distributed systems for private cloud environments.
• Lead Backend Design: Own API design, inter-service communication, and cross-team integration (working closely with Frontend).
• Drive Code Excellence: Champion a culture of strict code quality, rigorous review processes, and high-performance system design.

Must-Haves

• Senior Backend Expertise: A proven track record of architecting, building, and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Low-Level Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience in systems programming (C++, C, Go, or Zig) and the eagerness to write and master Rust.
• Cloud-Native / On-Prem Bridging: Strong understanding of cloud-native principles (services, containerization) and how to apply them to secure, on-prem deployments.

Nice-to-Haves

• Production experience writing Rust 🦀
• Background in crypto, decentralized finance (DeFi), or traditional financial trading platforms.
