Valence is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale our SaaS security platform — with a growing focus on securing modern SaaS and AI-powered application ecosystems.

At Valence, we protect organizations from threats created by SaaS and AI sprawl by unifying SaaS discovery, security posture, AI governance, and identity threat detection into a single platform. You’ll work on cutting-edge cloud-native systems, helping to deliver solutions that uncover shadow AI apps, detect misconfigurations, and provide robust APIs and interfaces to empower security teams.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on end-to-end development of core features across the stack (backend, frontend, cloud services).
• Work in a cloud-native environment (Azure) and microservices architecture, writing high-quality, maintainable code
• Build robust APIs and UI components from design to full implementation
• Improve developer experience (DX), test automation, system architecture, and infrastructure
• Participate in peer code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
• Own technical challenges around scalability, performance, and secure data flows as the product and user base grow
• Engage with emerging areas like AI usage patterns, anomaly detection, API protection, and identity security
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer in production environments
• 3+ years of backend experience with Go or Node.js, Python, or Scala
• Experience with frontend development using React and TypeScript - a strong advantage
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and PostgreSQL
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain clean, robust APIs
• Strong understanding of security-relevant development practices and common risk areas in modern SaaS + AI environments - a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup
