Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm)
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, enabling fast and reliable software delivery across multiple environments
• Implement comprehensive observability solutions with DataDog (APM, RUM, logs, traces), including dashboards, monitors, and alerting strategies
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters running 100+ microservices, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance
• Drive platform reliability initiatives, including incident response and proactive system health monitoring
• Collaborate with product engineering teams (Data, Trade, ACE) to enable self-service infrastructure and improve developer experience
• Lead FinOps efforts to optimize cloud costs through right-sizing, monitoring, and resource allocation strategies
• Participate in on-call rotation, maintain runbooks, and conduct blameless postmortems to continuously improve system reliability

Requirements

• Experience in DevOps, DevEx, or Site Reliability Engineering roles
• AI-powered workflow: Active user of AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for daily tasks, including scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation
• Strong proficiency with GCP (Google Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM)
• Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters (deployments, services, RBAC, troubleshooting, scaling)
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm charts
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Strong observability experience (DataDog preferred; Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack acceptable)
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB) and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills and networking fundamentals

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Cloud cost optimization (FinOps) experience
• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or MLOps
• GCP Professional certifications (Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer)
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
