We are seeking a hands-on
Firmware Automation Tester to join our team and support the testing and quality assurance of our connected fitness device.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automation tools and scripts in
Python to test
C-based embedded firmware. You will work closely with real hardware, analyze logs, reproduce issues, and perform manual validation of firmware features directly on the device.
This position is ideal for someone with real-world embedded testing experience who enjoys working close to hardware, combining
manual and automated testing, and contributing to test infrastructure and quality processes in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain Python automation for embedded firmware testing.
- Perform automated and manual tests directly on devices.
- Analyze logs, reproduce issues, and write clear bug reports.
- Work closely with firmware engineers on requirements and test coverage.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Help shape testing processes and release quality.
Requirements:
- Experience in testing firmware / embedded systems.
- Strong Python skills.
- Hands-on hardware experience (boards, devices, debug tools).
- Knowledge of network protocols (BLE, WiFi, UART).
- Problem-solver who’s comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
Nice to Have
- CI/CD experience (Jenkins or similar).
- Basic understanding of C.
- Startup mindset: ownership, curiosity, and bias for action.
