Summary
The Apple Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, test and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. The team in Israel is looking for a Camera Module Design and Integration Student, who will join a team responsible for end-to-end design, production, testing and integration of camera modules. The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that fosters engineering perfection, creativity, and innovation in the interdisciplinary areas of optical design, testing and production.
Description
Involved with all phases of execution of camera design from prototype to mass-production, directly contributing to the success of camera modules design in numerous Apple products
Conduct data-driven analysis from the production lines to support decision-making processes
Conduct characterization, test, and validation aspects of our cutting-edge systems, spanning from early lab prototypes to complete system maturity
Look and define new optical tests and figure of merits for better camera performance prediction
Interacting with a broad range of teams and fields
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in one or more computer languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, etc.), with emphasis on test & measurement automation
- Experienced in analysis of experimental data, and communicating results in a clear and concise manner
- A reliable great teammate that can be counted on to produce high quality results on time
- Working knowledge of optics & laser concepts
- Creative & analytical, good at critical thinking and problem-solving
- Advantage: experience with setting up and performing optical measurements in the laboratory
- Advantage: familiarity with camera ISP pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
- M.Sc./PhD student in Electro-Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials, Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient verbal and written English language skills
