Description
The Cellular group is looking for an extraordinary Cellular-RF Silicon Validation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive RF validation strategies for cellular silicon products, conducting meticulous performance characterization, analyzing sophisticated measurement data, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to identify and resolve silicon design issues. You will leverage your deep understanding of RF system parameters, measurement methodologies, and cellular standards to ensure products meet rigorous quality and performance specifications throughout the development lifecycle
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in RF silicon validation or characterization
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless communications standards (5G NR, LTE, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and vector signal analyzers
- Outstanding data analysis skills with proficiency in technical computing environments (MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Proven track record of systematic problem-solving and RF debugging capabilities
- In-depth knowledge and experience in block-level RF validation, including LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs, and filter characterization within integrated silicon and their measurement methodologies
- Expert knowledge of key RF performance metrics (NF, IIP3, P1dB, phase noise, EVM) with the ability to trace system issues to specific block-level root causes
- Deep understanding of silicon-specific parasitic effects and their impact on RF performance across PVT corners
- Experience developing specialized test setups and methodologies for isolating and characterizing individual RF blocks in complex integrated systems
- Proficiency in correlating block-level measurements with system-level performance and reconciling discrepancies between simulation and silicon results
