Principal RF Intelligence & Signal Research Lead

Company: Sensorz

Location: Kfar Saba, Israel Work model: Primarily in-office with optional remote work (approx. one day per week)

About Sensorz

Sensorz is a dual-tech company pioneering AI-driven spectrum dominance and RF situational awareness.

Our flagship platform, SWORD, autonomously detects, classifies, and tracks RF signals in real time—transforming traditional spectrum monitoring into an intelligent, data-driven operational capability for defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure customers.

As spectrum environments grow denser, faster, and more adversarial, Sensorz is expanding its R&D organization with senior domain leaders who can shape the next generation of RF intelligence systems.

Role Overview

Sensorz is seeking a Principal RF Intelligence & Signal Research Lead to serve as the technical authority on real-world RF signal behavior across our Spectrum Dominance platforms.

This role owns the translation of SIGINT-grade RF phenomena—including complex, non-cooperative, and adversarial signals—into AI-operational data, features, and validation frameworks. The position bridges deep hands-on RF/DSP expertise with AI, data science, and product teams, ensuring that Sensorz’s models remain both technically grounded and operationally relevant.

You will define how signals are captured, interpreted, validated, and transformed into detection and classification capabilities deployed in real environments.

Key Responsibilities

RF Intelligence & Technical Authority

• Act as Sensorz’s internal authority on RF signal behavior, emitter characteristics, and waveform intelligence

• Interpret and analyze IQ data, spectrograms, PSDs, and waterfall plots to characterize modulation, waveform structure, and emitter behavior

• Maintain and expand validated libraries of known RF signatures, protocols, and emitter patterns across commercial, public safety, defense, satellite, and IoT domains

RF-to-AI Data pipeline Ownership

• Own the end-to-end RF-to-AI data lifecycle: data generation, capture, validation, annotation, and analysis

• Define RF sampling strategies, sensing configurations, and SDR setups for lab and field data collection

• Establish intelligence-grade data quality, validation, and annotation standards

• Ensure RF data accurately represents real operational environments, including contested and spectrum-denied scenarios

DSP Feature Engineering & Signal analysis

• Define and develop DSP feature extraction, signal decoding approaches, and annotation methodologies

• Guide the translation of RF phenomena into AI-consumable representations

• Perform gap analysis between raw signal behavior, extracted features, and model performance

AI & System Integration

• Serve as the technical bridge between RF/SIGINT expertise and Computer Vision–based AI models powering SWORD and WAVE-100

• Define KPIs for detection, classification, and robustness, linking RF data quality to model outcomes

• Collaborate closely with DSP, data science, and software teams to refine detection and classification pipelines

• Define operational scenarios and validation datasets for AI training, testing, and system acceptance

Field & Experimental Leadership

• Lead or support field measurement campaigns and controlled lab experiments

• Work hands-on with SDRs, vector signal analyzers, and field collection systems

• Translate field observations into actionable system and model improvements

RF and Signals Technical Leadership

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to RF, DSP, and data engineers

• Lead technical reviews, signal intelligence deep-dives, and post-analysis assessments

• Influence RF/DSP hiring profiles, onboarding standards, and best practices

Mandatory Background

• Prior service in SIGINT intelligence units (mandatory)

• Hands-on experience working with real-world RF intelligence data

• Strong background in DSP, RF signal processing, and SDR platforms

• Experience analyzing non-cooperative, manipulated, or adversarial signals

• Proven ability to operate in complex, ambiguous, and operationally constrained environments

Advantage

• ELINT experience (airborne, naval, or ground systems)

• Experience in contested or spectrum-denied operational theaters

• Direct involvement in deployed or fielded operational systems

• Previous technical leadership or domain-ownership roles

Education

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related applied science field

Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of modulation schemes, waveform structures, and spectrum management

• Proficiency with SDR platforms (e.g., USRP, BladeRF, HackRF) and spectrum analysis tools

• Experience with IQ data analysis, feature extraction, and protocol identification

• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for signal analysis and automation

What Success Looks Like

• Best in class robustness and accuracy of RF detection and classification in real-world environments

• Clear traceability between RF phenomena, data representation, and AI model behaviour

• Expanded, validated RF signal libraries supporting new operational use cases

• Reduced performance gaps caused by data quality, mislabelling, or unrealistic assumptions

• Strong alignment between RF intelligence reality and Sensorz’s AI-driven product capabilities

Why Join Sensorz

This role sits at the center of Sensorz’s technology stack, directly influencing how RF intelligence is captured, interpreted, and transformed into operational capabilities.

You will work alongside a small group of senior experts across RF, AI, and defense, with hands-on ownership and the ability to shape both technology and direction.

If you thrive on building systems from the ground up—working with real signals, real data, and real customers—Sensorz is the place to make that impact.
