We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator for a highly strategic migration project within our company. This role will be responsible for managing the migration from several different databases (Oracle, SQL, MongoDB) to a single large central PostgreSQL database hosted on Azure.

Project Details:

- Strategic database consolidation initiative.

- Migration from multiple database systems to PostgreSQL.

- Cloud-based implementation using Azure.

Required Qualifications:

- Advanced SQL knowledge with strong application-oriented skills for ETL processes.

- Expertise in database performance tuning (mandatory).

- Experience with migration and ETL architecture.

- Ability to design and implement database solutions for complex migration scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with Apache NiFi.

- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB.

- Cloud database management experience, particularly with Azure.

- Knowledge of data modelling and database design principles.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement migration strategies from legacy databases to PostgreSQL.

- Develop and optimize ETL processes.

- Ensure data integrity throughout the migration process.

- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
