Location: Tefen Industrial Area
Department: Pharmacy Automation Group
Experience Level: 1-5 years
Engineer the Motion Behind Life-Saving Automation
At Equashield, we develop robotic and automation systems that combine precision mechanics, real-time control, and safety-critical software to protect healthcare professionals from hazardous drug exposure.
We are looking for a Control & Mechatronics Engineer with hands-on experience in motion systems, CAN bus communication, and real-time controllers, who want to grow into a system-level control engineer working on real machines deployed worldwide.
This role is intended for mechanical, mechatronics, or control engineers, with practical exposure to automation hardware and a strong desire to deepen their skills.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain motion and automation logic for robotic subsystems.
- Work with servo motors, actuators, and feedback devices in real machines.
- Interface with devices using CAN bus (CAN / CANopen) for motion control and diagnostics.
- Work with real-time controllers, such as:
- Beckhoff PLCs / IPCs (TwinCAT)
- Arduino or similar microcontroller-based systems
- Implement motion sequences such as homing, positioning, and coordinated movements.
- Assist in control loop tuning (position / velocity) under guidance.
- Write and maintain control-related software, including PC-side C# applications interacting with real-time systems.
- Participate in system bring-up, calibration, debugging, and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and QA teams
What You Bring
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or similar.
- 2–6 years of experience in automation, robotics, or electromechanical systems.
- Hands-on exposure to:
- CAN bus communication (monitoring, messaging, basic protocols)
- Basic understanding of:
- Servo motors and actuators
- Encoders and feedback mechanisms
- Mechanical concepts (loads, inertia, friction
- Experience writing structured technical code (PLC logic, C/C++, C#, or similar).
- Ability to debug across software, electronics, and mechanics.
- Motivation to learn, take ownership, and grow technically
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CANopen device configuration
- Experience with real-time control platform (Beckhoff, Simatic, Arduino, or equivalent)
- Basic knowledge of PID control concepts
- Exposure to medical devices or regulated environments
