What You’ll Do

• Own execution of Canotera’s R&D roadmap and engineering delivery
• Build, lead, and scale a high-performing R&D organization
• Translate architectural direction and product requirements into a reliable, scalable, and secure production platform in production
• Establish strong engineering processes across development, testing, and deployment
• Stay hands-on where it matters, especially in early scaling stages
• Own delivery timelines, quality, and operational reliability

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in senior leadership
• Proven experience scaling backend and data-heavy systems in startups
• Strong system design and cloud architecture background
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Startup mindset: ownership, pragmatism, and bias for action

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI-driven products or data platforms
• Experience in LegalTech, FinTech, or regulated domains
• Experience supporting enterprise customers or security assessments
• Previous experience scaling from early-stage to growth-stage company
