Inviting applications for the role of AVP, AI Lead, R&D

We are seeking an AVP, AI Lead to drive the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft AI stack. This role will lead AI initiatives across product, engineering, and business teams, translating advanced AI capabilities into scalable, secure, and value-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on AI expertise with executive-level leadership and experience operating in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead the AI strategy and roadmap, aligned with business objectives and product priorities.
• Own the end-to-end AI architecture, with a focus on Microsoft technologies (Azure AI, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Fabric, Synapse, Purview).
• Lead the design and deployment of LLM-based, agentic, and generative AI solutions in production environments.
• Establish standards for LLMOps, MLOps, model governance, evaluation, and cost optimization.
• Drive agentic AI patterns (RAG, tools, orchestration, prompt frameworks) across enterprise use cases.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Compliance to ensure scalable and responsible AI adoption.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing AI and data teams. set technical direction and career paths.
• Act as a senior technical advisor to executives, translating AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications we seek in you

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AI and 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade AI solutions at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Fabric, and related services.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, agentic architectures, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Success launching a monetized developer platform or external AI API.
• Leadership in open-source communities, patents, or peer reviewed AI publications.
• Background in FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization for AI workloads.
• Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
• Robust professional network within the AI ecosystem (research labs, VCs, standards bodies).
