Role Description

As the Platform Team Leader at Stream Security, you will own the backbone of our cloud-native security platform. You’ll lead a hands-on team responsible for building and operating scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure that empowers our R&D teams to move fast and safely. This role blends technical excellence with people leadership, offering a unique opportunity to shape both the platform and the team at a pivotal stage of the company’s growth.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead and grow Stream Security’s Platform team, combining hands-on technical leadership with mentorship, hiring, and people development.
  • Own the design, implementation, and evolution of the company’s platform infrastructure, with direct impact on scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Work closely with Product and R&D to define platform requirements and deliver secure, production-grade solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end ownership of platform delivery, including architecture, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.
  • Ensure high availability and operational excellence through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
  • Build internal platforms and tooling that enable engineering and customer-facing teams to move fast and safely.

Requirements -Must

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, give clear feedback, influence without authority, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing a Platform / DevOps team in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Platform / DevOps engineer operating production systems.
  • 1+ years of software development experience using a high-level language (Python or Go – advantage).
  • Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including networking, Helm charts, and autoscaling.
  • Strong experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Solid background in Linux administration and Bash scripting.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
  • Experience working with databases (Aurora RDS is an advantage).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.
  • Strong ownership mindset, ability to operate with ambiguity, and willingness to get hands-on when needed.
