We're Hiring: R&D Team Leader
Location: Kiryat-Gat, Israel

Barantech, a global technology-driven manufacturing company, is seeking an R&D Team Leader for a key role that combines managerial leadership with deep hands-on technical involvement throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The position holds full responsibility for the development of new and existing products—from initial concept through transition to mass production—working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and customers in Israel and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the R&D and engineering team, including management, mentoring, and professional leadership of hardware and mechanical engineers
- End-to-end ownership of product development: concept, specifications, design, prototyping, testing, NPI, and transition to production
- Manage complex development projects, including schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and milestones
- Hands-on technical involvement in hardware development, with a strong focus on electronic board (PCB) design
- Ongoing collaboration with internal interfaces: manufacturing, quality, procurement, supply chain, product, marketing, and sales
- Professional communication with customers: understanding requirements, adapting technical solutions, and participating in technical discussions as needed
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, quality requirements, and engineering documentation throughout the development process
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, design reviews, and the implementation of measurable development methodologies
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in hardware development with strong technical depth in electronic systems, including:
- End-to-end PCB design
- Embedded systems integration (analog and digital)
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI and DFM/DFT principles
- Proven experience bringing products to market (concept-to-market), including NPI and transition to production
- Proven experience managing hardware or multidisciplinary development teams
- Full proficiency with Altium Designer – mandatory (schematics, layout, libraries, BOM, manufacturing files)
- Strong project management skills and ability to meet targets and timelines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, systematic thinking, and ability to work directly with customers
