Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Head of R&D to lead our multidisciplinary development teams. Join the AIO senior management team, to lead this amazing AI technology. 

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, particularly in Java, alongside solid knowledge of frontend technologies (React, JavaScript) and backend frameworks (Node.js), as well as extensive experience with MongoDB and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology roadmap, driving innovation, and ensuring delivery excellence across geographically dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the R&D department, overseeing software development, architecture, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, particularly in Java-based environments.
• Guide teams on best practices in frontend (React, JavaScript) and backend (Node.js) development.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of developers across multiple geographic locations, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with product management to define and execute the technical vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
• Ensure successful project deliveries, maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
• Actively manage cloud deployments and architecture using AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience in Java development, architecture, and design.
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies including React and JavaScript, and backend frameworks such as Node.js.
• Solid experience with MongoDB and database management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, managing multidisciplinary development teams of 5 or more.
• Proven ability to manage remote and international teams effectively across various languages and cultures.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in FinTech or financial services sectors is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements relevant to financial technology solutions.
