Real Time Group, a Software Solutions Center in Tel Aviv, is looking for an experienced Senior Radar Engineer with a strong background in signal processing, radar algorithm design and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement radar algorithms, including detection, tracking, classification, and clutter suppression.
- Plan and run simulations and performance evaluations for radar systems and algorithms.
- Model, simulate, and validate radar concepts and algorithms using MATLAB (and/or similar tools).
- Analyze radar system performance under various scenarios and define improvements to meet operational requirements.
- Work closely with software teams to integrate algorithms into real-time systems.
- Participate in requirement definition, system design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Support lab and field tests, including data collection, analysis, and tuning of algorithms based on real-world results.
Must Have Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in radar engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing radar algorithms - Must.
- Strong background in signal processing (detection theory, estimation, filtering, spectral analysis, MIMO radar, phased arrays, SAR/GMTI, advanced tracking solutions., etc.) - Must.
- Academic degree: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field (M.Sc. a strong plus) - Must.
- Solid understanding of radar fundamentals (waveforms, Doppler, range resolution, clutter, CFAR, STAP, tracking filters, etc.)- Must.
- Experience transferring algorithms from simulation to embedded implementation (in cooperation with software/firmware teams) - Must.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets from lab and field experiments.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); ability to write clear technical documents and present results.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience working for HLS / defense industry companies (e.g., Raphael, ELTA, defense start-ups, or similar organizations).
- Experience in hardware development for radar systems.
- Experience with DSPs, FPGAs, or GPUs.
- Experience participating in or leading customer-facing projects, POCs, or demonstrations.
