The Infrastructure Engineering team owns ZoomInfo’s cloud infrastructure. We design, build, and operate the foundations that enable engineering teams to ship reliable, scalable, and secure services.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a hands-on owner of production cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, networking, service-to-service communication, and infrastructure automation. This role is intended for an individual contributor who can independently own systems, lead technical execution within their domain, and partner closely with application and platform teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and operate production cloud infrastructure across AWS and/or GCP.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Build, operate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes platforms and workloads (EKS, GKE).
• Design and maintain cluster networking, ingress/egress, load balancing and DNS.
• Implement and operate service mesh and traffic management solutions (Istio preferred).
• Improve service-to-service security (mTLS, identity, policy enforcement).
• Develop internal automation and tooling in Go or Python.
• Operate and harden Linux-based systems and cloud-native services.
• Implement and evolve monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Partner with engineering teams on architecture reviews and production readiness.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, owning incidents and driving root-cause resolution.
• Write and maintain clear documentation, standards, and runbooks.
• Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance and reviews.

Required Experience

• 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure or SRE roles.
• 3+ years running Kubernetes in production at scale and a deep understanding of Kubernetes networking and internals.
• 3+ years managing cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP
• 3+ Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
• Experience operating Istio or similar service mesh.
• Strong networking fundamentals ( Routing, DNS, Cloud load balancers, NAT)
• Proficiency in Go or Python for automation and tooling.
• Strong Linux systems knowledge
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
