Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a DevOps Team Lead for a leading defense organization in Northern Israel

Role Description

Lead and manage a DevOps team while remaining hands-on in a multi-team environment.

The role includes end-to-end ownership of DevOps processes across multiple projects, designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure best practices.

Responsibilities include leading DevOps initiatives, optimizing development and release workflows, supporting development and integration teams, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and maintaining scalable and secure environments across Linux and Windows platforms.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer

• 3+ years of experience leading and managing a DevOps team (5+ team members)

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps

• Experience working with Git-based workflows

• Hands-on experience with Docker containers

• Experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift – advantage)

• Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python

• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
