As part of our continued growth, TSG Group, a leading defense high-tech company, is seeking a Technical Lead / Team Lead - AI & Machine Learning to join a core team working on advanced, mission-critical AI solutions.

Role Overview

The team’s mission is to bridge the gap between research and production, designing robust AI solutions for critical and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Combine hands-on technical leadership with people leadership – including architecture design, core development, code reviews, deployment, and production support.
• Serve as a technical authority in your area of expertise, providing high-level guidance and implementing best practices across additional AI domains.
• Work closely with Project Managers, System Architects, and external customers to translate complex operational requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Own and oversee the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, including deployment of robust models in classified environments, on-premise systems, and edge platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning / Data Science, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow, with production-grade coding standards.
• Proven experience developing ML projects and deploying them to production.
• Deep expertise in at least one core AI domain, with strong conceptual understanding of others, including:
• Generative AI
• NLP / RAG pipelines
• Computer Vision
• Reinforcement Learning
• Tabular ML / Deep Learning algorithms
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux, particularly in on-premise or edge environments.

Advantages

• Experience with model optimization (C++, TensorRT, ONNX, Quantization).
• Experience with ML CI/CD, model versioning, and testing strategies.
• Background in defense, security, or intelligence environments.
