Nexite is a leading startup, revolutionizing retail IoT. We are developing a platform that merges the physical and digital retail spaces. Our innovative platform is based on cutting-edge battery-less BLE tags that communicate with a cloud platform through an in-store wireless access network. Using our data and cloud platform, we can provide retailers with previously unattainable insights and analytics and at the same time vastly improve the customer experience.

We seek an experienced Backend Engineer with strong Go (or similar language), cloud, and distributed systems architecture expertise, capable of driving projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work independently and lead team initiatives, with a track record of architecting large-scale backend systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications, ensuring high performance, stability, and scalability in cloud environments.
• Lead new projects and initiatives within the team, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, platform, and data engineering, to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in development processes, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Lead technical efforts and implement enhancements across projects.
  
  

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Go (or similar language) — essential.
• Experience with back-end development in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). — essential.
• Proven experience working with SQL in a data lake environment - essential
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience with Python - an advantage.
• Self-driven, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
