The Principal Software Engineer will join the core Correlation team to research, design, and implement the proprietary, patent-protected "Correlation" engine.

This engine is central to the Axonius platform’s data capabilities and is key to achieving maximum scalability and performance.

The team’s mission is to shape the future of cybersecurity asset management technology through innovative backend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for backend applications, contributing to the development of the core Axonius Platform.
• Conduct research, perform POCs (Proof-of-Concepts), and solve complex, high-load engineering challenges.
• Develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems to drive platform performance.
• Coordinate engineering work across multiple R&D teams and communicate technical strategy across the wider organization.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a hands-on Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant, high-load, distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Docker, Linux, and networking concepts.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and analysis tools.
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical decisions using telemetry data.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and resolving complex performance issues.
• Experience working with on-prem customer deployments.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience developing software that interacts with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS).
