NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Senior Software & Systems Architect to join the NIC Software/Firmware Architecture group, focusing on next-generation Radio Access Network (RAN) platforms for 5G and 6G. You will help define and deliver innovative, scalable, high-capacity, and power-efficient networking solutions that support sophisticated AI acceleration and industry standardization across hardware and software stacks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect software and firmware stacks for SmartNICs tailored to the requirements of next-generation RAN workloads, including distributed, centralized, and small cell deployment scenarios.
- Collaborate with hardware architects to define new features and robust SW-HW interfaces for diverse networking use cases.
- Perform research and development in network protocols, high-performance networking, and network acceleration.
- Extend and optimize networking drivers, offloads, and accelerators for enhanced performance and efficiency in RAN environments.
- Drive standardization and interoperability to support broad industry adoption.
What We Need To See
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in networking software architecture, ideally with relation to telecom and RAN networks.
- Proven track record to quickly adapt to new technologies and investigate emerging areas such as AI acceleration in networking.
- Strong capability to work independently, collaborate with multi-functional teams, and guide R&D efforts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
