What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and development of our robot control system in Python, managing motor control, sensors, and state-machine logic. Hands-on.
- Build and tune real-time algorithms for precise motion control of servo and brushless motors.
- Design a software infrastructure to scale and ramp up.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate hardware, write drivers, and ensure reliable performance in tough field conditions.
- Develop safety, diagnostics, and fault-tolerant mechanisms for outdoor operation.
- Be a Mentor for junior engineers and shape best practices for the robotics software team.
What should you have
- 5+ years in robotics or embedded systems using Python and C/C++.
- Experience with computer vision algorithms.
- Strong grasp of DC motor drivers, PID/feedback control, and edge computing (Jetson, RTX, or similar).
- Solid Linux experience and ability to optimize code for limited compute and power budgets.
- Passion for autonomous systems and sustainable farming.
- Bonus: experience with ROS, RTOS, CANbus, or EtherCAT.
