Your Career

CWP (Cloud Workload Protection) is the security module inside Cortex Cloud that designed to secure cloud-native applications and cloud infrastructures, CWP empowers security teams to detect and prevent suspicious activity in compute resources in real-time, provides vulnerabilities management tools, asset inventory management views, full visibility to compliance standards and much more.

We are looking for a talented Backend-oriented engineering manager that will manage our Compute Compliance engineering team, someone who is excited about cloud security, that can build, manage and deliver security features end-2-end in high-performance and large-scale systems. We’re looking for someone that will be able to bring disruption and innovation into different areas in our compliance platform, someone who is not afraid to create / change processes and is able to build a healthy engineering culture.

Your Impact

You will have a major role in leading, managing and developing core parts of our Compute Compliance domain, focusing on Cloud-Native compute resources like Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, Function and CAAS services.

  • Leading a team of 5 software developers.
  • Working with your counterparts PM, Architect, UX, Frontend, Automation to define the scope and phases that will help to achieve the team’s goals
  • Lead and actively contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure the product performs reliably and meets defined SLAs.
  • Ensure engineering best practices – from planning, design, development lifecycle, monitoring & observability, testing, quality, retrospective up to delivery to production.
  • Hiring the best talent for the team, as the team is expected to continue growing
  • Support your team members’ growth by helping them define and achieve their individual career goals

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent military experience required
  • 8+ years of experience working as a Backend / FullStack Software Developer
  • 3+ years of experience as a Team Lead
  • Experience in large organizations or innovative startups
  • Development experience in Golang / Python / Java / C++ / C# or equivalent
  • Strong domain expertise in security and cloud development.
  • Skilled at working with architects, product, QA, Frontend and other stakeholders to drive alignment and shared goals.
  • Open for learning, continuously seeks improvement, and encourages the same mindset in others.
  • Takes full ownership of outcomes, drives issues to resolution, and fosters a culture of accountability within the team.
  • Ability to understand team members’ perspectives, provide mentorship, and create a safe environment
  • Comfortable with change, able to pivot when necessary, and help teams remain focused and motivated under pressure.
