We’re on the hunt for a skilled Full-Stack Developer to help shape the future of Overwolf’s ad tech platform - powering seamless, high-performance experiences across millions of gamer sessions.

As our Ad Tech Code Crafter, you’ll design elegant backend services, craft responsive front-end interfaces, and keep performance razor-sharp across the stack. You’ll play a key role in evolving a metrics-driven platform and maintaining a lightweight, reliable ad unit runtime that runs safely and smoothly on publisher pages.

So if you love clean code, fast performance, and the thrill of building systems that scale to millions of gamers - this is definitely your quest.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement robust backend services and APIs in PHP 8.
  • Build and evolve clear, responsive browser interfaces to improve user outcomes.
  • Optimize performance across queries, API payloads, rendering, and asset delivery.
  • Validate and refine features through hands-on QA and diagnostics.
  • Maintain a reliable ad unit runtime – including async loading, safe DOM and CSS usage, viewability tracking, and stable cross-browser performance.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
  • Strong PHP 8 and REST API skills.
  • Solid SQL and data modeling experience for large datasets.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Comfort working with vanilla JS for third-party pages (async loading, DOM APIs, postMessage, iframe patterns, CSP).
  • Proven ability to ship in short, focused iterations with clear ownership and accountability.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with Go.
  • Knowledge of data visualization for large tables and charts.
  • Experience with Swoole, OpenSwoole, or similar event-driven runtimes.
  • Understanding of ad tech workflows and measurement.
  • Passion for gaming and player-first experiences.
  • Can turn caffeine into low-latency systems (or health potions, if needed).
