QuamCore is building the world's first one million qubit quantum computer. Our unique architecture solves the crucial challenge of scaling to large numbers of qubits, and does so in a single cryostatic refrigerator.


You will join an elite team leading the research on the top challenges of building the full stack architecture of our one million qubit quantum computer. The team's research aims to cover the entire pipeline, starting at the level of abstract quantum algorithms of real world impact, such as Shor's algorithm for RSA decryption, through code architectures for quantum error correction, and finally the implementation of quantum circuits on the physical hardware.


The role involves

  • Research and optimization of quantum algorithms.
  • Research on code architectures, quantum error correction and decoding.
  • Hardware implementation of quantum circuits.
  • Quantum resource estimates: noise simulations, algorithm runtime estimation and logical qubit floor planning.
  • Physical resource estimates: data rates and throughput, heat dissipation and qubit connectivity.
  • HPC: integration of the complementary classical computation environment (CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs), including resource estimates.


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in quantum mechanics and quantum information theory.
  • Experience in algorithms design.
  • Strong coding abilities in Python and similar languages (C++ and HDL is an advantage).
  • Proven capabilities of independent, long term research.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Knowledge of superconducting qubits and associated technologies is an advantage.
