The Control-M product line is BMC’s orchestration and automation platform. It helps the world's largest companies to automate time-sensitive, business-critical workflows. We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our amazing Control-M Conversion team.

Our Conversion team is responsible for developing the tools allowing more organizations to convert from their existing automation solutions to Control-M and migrate from their on-prem Control-M environments to Control-M SaaS solution and to support them in their journey of implementing our best-of-breed solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in the conversion tools development and maintenance efforts which involved coding in Java, Kotlin, Python, Typed-Script and various additional languages.
• Explore and implement AI capabilities into our conversion tools and offerings to enhance automation, improve conversion accuracy, and deliver intelligent solutions to our customers.
• Find creative ways for resolving the unique conversion challenges of our customers.
• Assist our field engineers and customers around the globe in their Control-M implementation journey.
• Work closely with the other Control-M development teams on suggested enhancements to the core product.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance problem-solving capabilities.

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development
• Familiarization with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Git, Containers technologies
• Self-learner, flexible and able to work in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.
• Understanding of AI/ML integration patterns and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI) for embedding AI capabilities into enterprise applications
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Capable of communicating in English

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Familiarization with Python
• Kotlin experience
• Angular experience
• Experience with AI code generation and analysis tools
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into production applications
• Control-M knowledge
• Knowledge with other schedulers
