As a Frontend Infrastructure Engineer at Imagen, you will be responsible for shaping the foundations of our frontend ecosystem. You’ll work on our design system, developer experience, platform tooling, monitoring, and performance optimizations to ensure our frontend codebase is scalable, reliable, and efficient.
This role is ideal for someone who loves building frameworks, improving developer workflows, and enabling frontend teams to ship high-quality code faster. You'll collaborate closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product teams to create a best-in-class frontend infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the design system for consistency and efficiency
- Improve Developer Experience (DX) with better tools, CI/CD, and workflows
- Optimize frontend performance and monitoring
- Build and maintain shared frontend tools and libraries
- Ensure best practices in architecture, modularization, and maintainability
- Collaborate with teams to implement infrastructure and process improvements
- Evaluate and integrate new frontend technologies to enhance productivity
Requirements:
- Experience working in frontend infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related role in a SaaS or product-driven company.
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Esbuild, etc.).
- Deep understanding of CSS architecture and component-based design (e.g., Design Systems, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS).
- Proficiency in performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, caching strategies, etc.).
- Experience with frontend monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog, New Relic, etc.) and logging/debugging strategies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frontend automation to improve deployment and testing workflows.
- Passion for developer experience (DX) and creating tools that enhance productivity and code quality.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and advocate for frontend infrastructure best practices.
