We are looking for a
Student Test Engineer to join our Mechanical–Optical R&D team.
In this role, you will take part in
test planning, execution, and analysis for products in both development and production phases, while supporting day-to-day R&D activities in a hands-on lab environment.
This position is ideal for students who enjoy working with real hardware, building test setups, and investigating complex technical problems.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Plan, build, and execute tests in an optical and hardware lab environment
- Design and assemble test setups and connect various test equipment
- Collect data from real-world sensors (optical, thermal, MEMS, etc.), process and analyze results
- Develop software automations for long-duration and large-scale tests
- Operate diverse test equipment, including environmental chambers, power supplies, optical jigs, data loggers, and dedicated software tools
- Write clear and structured test reports outlining goals, results, and conclusions
- Perform mechanical rework, soldering, and small assemblies to support testing activities
Requirements:
You’d be a good fit if you have:
- B.Sc. student in Electrical Engineering or Physics (hands-on experience required)
- Experience working with controllers and data loggers
- Strong ability to write clear, detailed test reports
- Knowledge of Python
- High level of English (written and spoken)
- Experience with electrical hardware and lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power supplies)
- Experience with data analysis and processing (Excel, calculations, statistics)
Advantages (Nice to Have):
- Software development skills, including well-structured, class-based code and use of Git
- Experience with radar systems
- Familiarity with Linux environments and Bash scripting
- Experience with optical equipment
- “Maker” mindset with demonstrated personal projects or portfolio
