Role Overview
- As a Security Researcher at Hypernative, you’ll lead deep research into emerging blockchain threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors across protocol, economic, smart contract, and off-chain layers.
- You will turn research insights into real-time detection & prevention and resilient security capabilities.
- You will often be the first to analyze multi-million-dollar exploits, researching active real-world attacks as they unfold and extracting insights that directly shape our detection capabilities.
- Your work will directly prevent financial losses across the ecosystem, helping protect users, protocols, and funds from high-impact attacks.
Responsibilities
- Develop heuristics, rule sets, models, and research-driven logic that enhance Hypernative’s real-time threat detection engine.
- Conduct deep research into blockchain protocols, smart contracts, bridges, and DeFi mechanisms to uncover new threat patterns and exploitation techniques.
- Research real-world exploits and adversarial behaviors across Web3, transforming insights into practical detection & prevention opportunities.
- Develop tools and contribute to our system development to detect and mitigate security risks in real-time.
- Identify and analyze Web3 security vulnerabilities. As the owner of significant segments of our technical development, you will define and shape our Web3 security products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on security research with a proven ability to find, understand, and explain complex vulnerabilities.
- Proven multi-year Experience in System building with Python, OOP, and SOLID principles, including contribution to production grade code
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in an ultra-fast-paced environment.
Advantages
- Good understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine, experience with smart contract development, and familiarity with common smart contract vulnerabilities and blockchain security concepts - a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with advanced concepts in Trading/Finance - a strong advantage.
- Experience with Cloud development with emphasis on AWS infrastructure.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
