As a Senior Data Engineer (4+ years), you’ll be a key contributor and technical leader within a cross-functional data engineering team, collaborating closely with analysts, product managers, and engineering teams to build and optimize scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions.

Your expertise will drive the development of robust data infrastructure that supports AI-driven insights, multilingual experiences, and innovative loyalty features for thousands of merchants, ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines that serve multiple business domains.
  • Translate complex business needs into efficient data models and structures that support analytics and product decision-making.
  • Partner closely with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Own the data development lifecycle — from architecture and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to our data infrastructure’s evolution, promoting best practices in reliability, testing, and observability.
  • Work independently, balancing functional and non-functional requirements to deliver high-quality, production-ready systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent analytical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and solid understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in data modeling and business logic design — building models that are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
  • Passion for data, problem-solving, and delivering value through technology.

Nice to Have (Strong Advantage)

  • Experience designing data models or architectures for complex business domains (big advantage).
  • Hands-on experience with DBT (big advantage).
  • Experience with Python and modern orchestration or workflow tools.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Familiarity with Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, and Databricks.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Superset.
