We are looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join the Fintech AI Experience Team. In this strategic role, you will architect and build the next generation of transformative Fintech capabilities, translating high-impact AI models into production-grade solutions tailored for SMBs. Responsibilities
- You will seek to improve performance by refactoring existing services and flows
- You will mentor more junior team members and help them learn and progress professionally.
- You will collaborate with various stakeholders - product management, analysts, data engineers, customer success, and more.
- You will contribute by owning the designing and implementing new features and enhancements and represent the team in the technical aspect during discussions and architecture roundtables
- You will be hands-on, 70 - 80% coding
- You will serve as the immediate go-to person within the team for any tech-related issue or discussion
- You’ll be a good listener, while also having strong opinions on what is right You’ll be fun to be around and work with :)
Qualifications
- 8+ years of HO experience in OOP software development, with a deep expertise in Python this is a core requirement for the role.
- Strong proficiency in Java specifically in developing enterprise-grade applications using the Spring/SpringBoot framework.
- Extensive experience working with both Relational and NoSQL databases at scale.
- A strong grasp of system architecture, with the ability to design scalable, resilient, and high performance distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience driving large-scale, cross functional projects end to end, moving from initial concept to global production.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar containerized frameworks.
- You are knowledge and experienced with AWS cloud environment and services
- A deep appreciation for clean, maintainable, and well documented code, backed by rigorous unit and integration testing practices.
- Excellent English (oral and written) and the ability to collaborate effectively with US based teams.
- Experience building and deploying AI Agents or utilizing LLM orchestration frameworks - advantages
