Job Description

As a Advanced Cyber Security Software Engineer at Honeywell, you will be part of a team developing software solutions to monitor and detect cybersecurity attacks and incidents in real-time in the OT (Operational Technology) world.

Join us in this role and contribute to the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions that have a direct impact on the safety and security of industrial operations. Hybrid Work Module, 3 days from Office and 2 days from Home.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of network data for cybersecurity research purposes.
• Develop Python-based solutions and contribute to the product's development.
• Develop Yara rules and network threat signatures (e.g. Suricata) based on analysis findings.
• Stay updated on the latest threat actor techniques and cybersecurity trends.
• Independently conduct research and investigations for Product Management.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience with high-level programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Node.js, etc.).
• Proven expertise in Cyber Security.
• 2+ years of industry experience as a Python Software Developer.
• Hands-on experience in analyzing network traffic using tools such as Wireshark.
• Experience in network attack analysis, including network signature development (e.g., with Suricata).
• Strong research and technical analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Previous experience in cybersecurity software companies or military/defense units
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) from a reputable Israeli university
