Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare Haifa Ultrasound group is seeking a Software Engineer to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. In this role, you will design and develop software for next-generation ultrasound systems, working on advanced imaging technologies and user-centric workflows. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on healthcare by delivering innovative solutions in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain software components for new ultrasound products.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, UX designers, and algorithm teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with medical device standards and quality processes.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Work in an Agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills And Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a well-regarded institution.
  • 3–7 years of experience in software development.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and C#.
  • Experience with Windows development and multithreaded programming.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills (Nice To Have)

  • Experience with WPF or other UI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging standards (DICOM, HL7).
  • Knowledge of HW/SW interfaces and Windows internals.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Passion for software quality and writing well-tested code.
  • Exposure to UX design principles and performance optimization.
