Who is Forcepoint?

Forcepoint simplifies security for global businesses and governments. Forcepoint’s all-in-one, truly cloud-native platform makes it easy to adopt Zero Trust and prevent the theft or loss of sensitive data and intellectual property no matter where people are working. 20+ years in business. 2.7k employees. 150 countries. 11k+ customers. 300+ patents. If our mission excites you, you’re in the right place; we want you to bring your own energy to help us create a safer world. All we’re missing is you!

We are seeking a hands-on Team Manager to lead a full-stack engineering team (Backend, Frontend, and QA) developing a cloud-native cybersecurity SaaS product on AWS.

The role combines technical leadership (around 40% hands-on) with team management, delivery ownership, and agile execution.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer and people leader with deep AWS experience, strong software craftsmanship, and an interest in applying Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance productivity and product intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow an Engineering team delivering end-to-end SaaS features — from design and development to testing and deployment.
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
  • Stay hands-on (~40%) with architecture, coding, and code reviews in key components.
  • Design and maintain backend systems using AWS services
  • Ensure secure coding practices, IAM least-privilege design, and compliance with AWS security principles.
  • Drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code and modern DevSecOps practices.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and Security teams to define and integrate GenAI-powered capabilities that improve usability, automation, and threat analysis.
  • Implement and enforce Scrum best practices – sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
  • Foster a high-performance engineering culture emphasizing quality, ownership, and innovation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record building and delivering cloud-native SaaS applications on AWS.
  • Strong backend expertise in Java / Python / C#.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Angular, or Vue) and QA automation frameworks.
  • Solid knowledge of secure coding, authentication API design, and network security.
  • Practical experience integrating GenAI APIs (e.g., AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic) to enhance automation, content generation, or analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows and team dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified (Solutions Architect, Security Specialty, or Developer).
  • Experience in cloud security domains (CSPM, CWPP, Serverless protection).
  • Background in AI-assisted development tools and modern developer productivity platforms.
  • Deep understanding of testing strategies, QA automation, and observability.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities.
  • Balance between hands-on technical involvement and strategic delivery management.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and outcome-driven.
  • Passionate about innovation, security, and developer excellence.
