About Bright
Bright is a fast-growing, venture-backed company transforming how enterprises build secure software. Our developer-first platform brings application security testing into the earliest stages of development — so vulnerabilities are fixed before they ever reach production.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Infrastructure & DevOps Team Leader to lead Bright’s infrastructure team — the group behind our cloud, CI/CD, observability, and production reliability. You’ll drive our AWS-based infrastructure while shaping the next stage of our multi-cloud architecture.
This role is perfect for an experienced DevOps engineer ready to take the next step into leadership — someone who enjoys building, automating, and scaling systems, mentoring others, and taking ownership when challenges arise. You’ll combine technical depth with practical decision-making, and you’ll never hesitate to dive in and get things done when needed.
What You’ll Do
· Lead, mentor, and support a small team of DevOps and infrastructure engineers.
· Own and evolve Bright’s AWS-based infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
· Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability stacks.
· Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure smooth delivery, high uptime, and secure deployments.
· Identify and implement automation to reduce manual work and improve velocity.
· Contribute to multi-cloud readiness and long-term architecture planning.
· Act as a hands-on problem solver during incidents — lead, fix, and learn.
What You Bring
· 4–6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
· 1–2 years of leadership or mentoring experience.
· Strong hands-on expertise with AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, etc.).
· Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
· Good understanding of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
· Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
· Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
· Knowledge or exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, etc.) — an advantage.
· Problem-solving mindset, ownership mentality, and clear communication.
Nice to Have
· Background in application security, DevSecOps, or related AppSec tools.
· Experience building infrastructure for SaaS or high-scale environments.
· Scripting or development experience in Python, Go, or Node.js.
· Awareness of cost optimization, compliance, and security best practices.
Why Bright
· Competitive salary and stock options
· Fully remote position with flexible hours
· Work with world-class security and engineering experts
· A diverse, inclusive, and high-impact environment that values creativity, collaboration, and ownership
