Job Description

We are looking for an Automation Lead Engineer / Software Engineer in Test to take full ownership of automation across our R&D department.

In this role, you will define and drive automation strategy, design and maintain frameworks, and collaborate closely with multiple development teams. You will serve as the focal point for automation, ensuring quality, scalability, and reliability across diverse environments.

This is a unique opportunity to lead automation initiatives end-to-end, influence testing methodologies, and work hand-in-hand with engineers and stakeholders throughout the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation efforts across our company and serve as the focal point for all automation-related activities
• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and test strategies for our software applications
• Develop and optimize automated test scripts using industry best practices
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure robust test coverage and seamless integration
• Execute test plans, identify defects, and drive resolutions with development teams
• Provide clear and detailed test reports to management and cross-functional stakeholders
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of software in Mac and Linux environments
• Continuously research and adopt new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve QA processes
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation
• Proven experience in leading or owning automation initiatives
• Strong expertise in automation tools, frameworks, and QA methodologies
• Proficiency in Python – must
• Experience with JavaScript – advantage
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
• Solid knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git - must
• Familiarity with hardware integration and debugging – huge advantage
• Experience with ARM and x86 Linux environments – advantage
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Proactive problem solver with a strong sense of ownership
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
